General Practitioner locum

A General Practitioner locum is required to work at a bulk billing medical centre with 15 minute appointments.

Located in the Whitsunday region just 1 hour north of Airlie Beach, this town is near the beach with stunning turquoise sea and white sand. 

Dates: 

• 15 August 2022 - 23 December 2022
• Can accept blocks in this period

This town is located just at the top of the Whitsundays, just 1 hour north of Airlie Beach.

Explore the incredible diversity of the sea and islands from the bow of a sailboat. Cruise through the islands and drop anchor for a quick snorkel or scuba dive. Spend a fun day splashing in the clear shallow waters of world famous Whitehaven Beach. Pick an island, or enjoy the spoils of a mainland resort with Coral Sea views at Airlie Beach. Job description:

This is a solo GP role, you will work with the support of a Registered nurse, 1 Aboriginal Health worker, administrative staff and a practice manager. The working hours are:

 

• Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm, closing for lunch hour 12:30 – 1:30pm
• Tuesday & Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm, closing for lunch: 11:30am – 12:00

This medical centre is a general family practice, and does also have an Indigenous patient base. It is not an Aboriginal Medical Service. Software used is Medical Director. Appointment times are 15 minutes.
