About the Company:

Our client is a not-for-profit multidisciplinary organisation located in Blacktown that specialises with paediatrics. Our client has a team with over 20 allied health professionals who all share a passion for helping people with disabilities to reach their highest potential. Ultimately, our client aims to assist children in achieving treatment goals that promote their independence and quality of life.

 

About the Role:

As a result of significant growth and demand within early intervention and disability support services, our client is looking for Occupational Therapists that are motivated to make a difference in children’s lives. You will work in a hybrid capacity (telehealth, in-clinic, community) delivering different forms of evidenced based treatments (one-to-one and group settings) to support children in achieving treatment goals. You will achieve this through formulating, monitoring, and evaluating treatment plans specific to the child’s needs.

 

Summary of Duties:

  • Provide client-driven, evidence-based therapy to children.
  • Establish rapport with children and parents from a variety of different backgrounds, cultures, and ages.
  • Formulate, deliver, and monitor treatment plans specific to the child’s presenting problem.
  • Collaborate with other allied health professionals to aid in treatment planning, monitoring, and achieving patient goals.
  • Provide one-to-one and group therapy with the children.

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • AHRPA Registration
  • National police check, Working with Children's Check, and a drivers’ license is essential
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
