About the role

Due to high levels of growth, our client is looking for passionate and experienced Occupational Therapists for both fixed term contract and permanent roles to join their team supporting the aged care community within the Sunshine Coast Community and Townsville area.

Due to the nature of this role, travel will be required within a set geographic.

 

 Summary of Duties

• Providing Short- and long-term rehabilitation
• Liaising with healthcare professionals such as GPs, nurses, and Occupational Therapists to ensure care plans are formulated and monitored
• Ability to provide simple and complex equipment prescription and major/ minor home modifications
• Managing a wide variety of clients across multiple funding areas including NDIS, Home Care Packages, DVA, and Commonwealth Home Support Program.
• Ensure compliance & quality indicators are met 

 

Skills and Experience

• Tertiary Qualifications and current AHPRA registration
• Previous experience within Aged Care or Acute Setting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build great relationships
• Excellent time management and clinical problem-solving skills 
• Current Driver’s Licence and road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Covid - 19 Vaccination
