The Role

Our client is looking for experienced Occupational Therapists to join their team in Townsville and the surrounding area.

You’ll provide holistic, integrated care to our clients enhancing their mobility and movement to promote their independence and wellbeing. Working with a number of movement conditions associated with musculoskeletal impairments, genetic conditions and chronic disease, you will tailor your care to make a real difference in your client’s quality of life! 

Working across the community, you’ll have the opportunity to develop new treatment programs alongside highly skilled multidisciplinary teams.

 

Summary of Duties

• Diagnosing, assessing and developing care plans for individuals and groups
• Prescription and selection of appropriate adaptive equipment and modification
• Education and training on aspects of therapy for the clients and carers
• Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses ensure care plans are formulated and monitored

 

Skills and Experience

• Tertiary Qualifications and current AHPRA registration
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
• Effective time-management and proven clinical problem-solving skills
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
