General Practitioner Locum

An Aboriginal Medical Service in Far North Queensland requires General Practitioner locums to work at their facility. 

Dates :

• 25 April 2022 - 23 December 2022:  Minimum 2 week placements 

Details: 

• $1,500 per day + GST 
• Accommodation provided in community
• Accommodation provided in Cairns over weekends 
• Flights to Cairns, return 

The location: 

You will be based in Cairns over weekends. This is a fly in/ fly out role- you will fly into your community posting on Monday morning, and fly back into Cairns on a Friday afternoon. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm, travel time is generally within these hours but can be outside of these hours. Depending on your length of contract you will be placed at several community postings, spending 1 week at each.

This Indigenous health organisation is now the largest community controlled health organisation in Queensland and delivers a comprehensive primary health care service to 11 communities. This service includes General Practitioners, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners, outreach midwives, podiatrists, audiologists, physiotherapists, dietitians and nutritionists, diabetes nurse educators and pediatricians. 

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm.
