The Role

Our client is looking for experienced Occupational Therapists to join their team in northern Queensland.

You’ll provide holistic, integrated care to our clients enhancing their mobility and movement to promote their independence and wellbeing. Working with a number of movement conditions associated with musculoskeletal impairments, genetic conditions and chronic disease, you will tailor your care to make a real difference in your client’s quality of life! 

Working across aged care facilities and client’s homes, you’ll have the opportunity to develop new treatment programs, helping clients to manage their movement, pain, balance and manual handling. 

 

Summary of Duties

• Diagnosing, assessing and developing care plans for individuals and groups
• Prescription and selection of appropriate adaptive equipment and modification
• Education and training on aspects of therapy for the clients and carers
• Goal setting activities, as well discharge and resolution planning
• Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to ensure care plans are formulated and monitored

 

Skills and Experience

• Tertiary Qualifications and current AHPRA registration
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
• Effective time-management and proven clinical problem-solving skills
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
